WeDo 2.0 tasks

LEGO’s WeDo 2.0 Robotics Kit Teaches Science And
Engineering To Elementary School Students

LEGO is launching a new version of its WeDo 2.0 for elementary school students. Tonight at class we organized the pieces according to the organizing sheet and then we started to practice some of the models. WeDo 2.0 is meant to introduce students to robotics, engineering, and programming and also, it’s meant as a tool for teaching STEM in general and align with the Next Generation Science Standards.
In the introduction page, there is an information video where the teacher can make sure that the students are engaged and learn. We built up with the kit this Glowing snail and program it. The programming was very simple and I believe it is appropriate for kindergarten and first grade. The students can change colors, add sounds, and so on.

We practiced another task which was building a robotic hand that can grab different objects. I believe this modal would be appropriate for upper grade such as a third or fourth grade. Actually, it focuses on collaboration and investigating the program.
